Per FAA FAR 65 the FAA requires a minimum of 18 months of experience for one rating or a minimum 30 months of experience for both ratings. The more experience you document and provide to the FAA Inspector the better.

Experience documents are reviewed by AMT School at no charge.
On the subject line please write Experience Documents followed by your full name.
Primary documents (required) are experience letters, On the Job Training records (OJTs) and logbooks. Click here for a sample of an experience letter.
Secondary documents (not required but recommended) are current aircraft mechanic licenses or ratings such as the EASA B1, B2, training certificates, degrees etc.
Please provide 72 hours for review and response.

Your course deposit is valid for 24 months. Your business is appreciated.
Once you registered for the course, within 48 hours, the registrar will email you two documents:

We highly recommend registering, scheduling your FAA Oral & Practical Exam at least two months prior to arrival for the one-week course.

The FAA Oral & Practical Exam registration, scheduling fee is $200. Payment is made in the drop-down menu at the bottom of this web page, select “All Other Coures or Exam Deposits”.
Study: Complete our on-line preparation for the FAA Written Exams. We highly recommend a minimum of one month of study online. The online portion of the course will save you time and travel expenses. We are honest with our students. Do not be mislead by centers providing false promises of preparing you in a week for all written, oral and practical exams.
Review: Oral questions emailed to you. All oral questions will be reviewed in the one-week course by the instructor.
Review: The textbook links emailed to you. These are the books you will use for the practical exam. The FAA Practical Exam is open book.
Please notify our registrar at least one month in advance, preferably two months of the date that you plan to attend the FAA A&P One Week Course.

Payment of the balance for the course is due on the first day of class. Personal checks are not accepted.
Document review: On the first day of class a final review of your documents will be completed. Please arrive by 10A.M.
Please bring with you all original documents in an organized manner. Copies and digital documents are not accepted by the FAA. Also, please bring with you two completed, typed FAA forms 8610-2. Do not sign or date the forms, you will sign and date the forms at the time of your FAA interview.
English assessment: Per FAR 65 an assessment of the English language will be conducted.
The FAA Interview requires all original documents be presented to the FAA Inspector. No copies or digital documents are accepted. Professional business attire is highly recommended. Dress shirt, dress slacks, dress shoes. Shorts, tank tops and sneakers are not acceptable.
